Mr. Goldie : the Knitter. x BESS
Finding creative inspiration in the silk scarves of Nicole Sykes’s label, BESS, the Knitter.'s Nicole Leybourne has created two woollen versions of each textile design, the DripDry and the Step2It. The pair worked together to create the colourful, hand-made chunky knits, with the collaboration shot on New Zealand’s west coast by photographer Rebecca Zephyr Thomas. Available exclusively from BESS.
The Mr. Goldie scarf is made by hand, using natures woolly gifts. Because wool is a natural resource and because the scarves are made by hand, there will be the odd imperfection, due to natures ways. But this isn't a bad thing. Generally speaking, nothing in life is perfect.
Hand knitting is a much slower process compared to machine knitting, so there is an approximate order completion time of four weeks, sometimes earlier, it just depends.
The Mr. Goldie scarf should not be washed, but if needed, wash by hand, and leave to dry in a cool spot in the shade. Warm water may slightly shrink your garment, so it is best to stick to cool water. Never tumble dry. It is also best to keep your knit folded and not on a hanger. This way you scarf will keep his shape. We recommend keeping washing to an absolute minimum and only if really necessary.
Wool has a tendency to pill, it is not a defect, but rather a natural result of friction. Carefully cut the pills off with a pair of scissors, or use a razor blade to shave your garment, that's what we do.
This scarf is made to one size and comes in two different colour options, Mr. Goldie & Mr. Moss.
